Creating a website from scratch is time-consuming since it requires a lot of research, study, and design sense to move ahead with. This further builds up when you have an all-new editor that you aren’t used to.
We are taking away all that from you!
What if I told you that just like we did for Elementor and Beaver Builder, we are building complete website demos with Gutenberg too?
Sounds interesting! Read on… You’ll love this!
Starter Templates with Gutenberg
With an aim to make website building easier and faster with the all new WordPress block editor, we’ve are building ready-to-use full website demos that can be imported and used as your own.
All these websites are created with 100% FREE resources such as Astra, Gutenberg, and the Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg. Therefore all the website demos are completely free and you can use them to build as many websites as you want.
How to Install and Import these Starter Templates?
Like I said above, we’ve made things simple. You just need to follow a few easy steps, make a few clicks and you are all set to go live!
Make sure you have the Astra theme activated on your website. Install and activate the Starter Templates plugin that is available for free on the WordPress repository.
In your WordPress dashboard, open the Starter Templates page with the option seen under Appearance. This is where we’ve listed all the website demos that we’ve created. Choose the Gutenberg option to see all websites created using Gutenberg.
Click any website from the library and preview it to see whether it suits your needs.
Once you finalize the site you can start importing it. All the required plugins will be automatically installed and activated in the import process.
Once you have a complete website imported, you can tweak the content, images, and settings to make it your own! Currently, we have 50+ starter templates for Gutenberg and we are continuously working on building many more websites for you. Few available templates are listed here –
- Pet Services
- Brand Store
- Recipe Blog
- Italian Restaurant
- Sierra Industry
- Sierra Nature
- A/C Technician
- Entrepreneur
- Outdoor Adventure
- BBQ Restaurant

You’re welcome! 🙂
Thank you very much for this super valuable contribution. I have been testing it and everything that can be done with this plugin is really good. I congratulate you because I have managed to create pages on my blog as a professional web designer. I am very grateful. Best regards.
We tried the add-on along with the Sierra free starter. Installed what it asked for and activated it . It however doesn’t work for us like the demo shows. We did import the settings from demo starter site. Instead of the type scrolling up over the main picture background. Instead the entire page moves up and continues to do so for all of the page unlike the changing background picture on the demo. Did we misunderstand something on using it with the free Astra and the free Gutenberg add-on and getting the same results as the demo shows. Did we need to set something else? We are doing this on our Xampp local server .
A P.S. We reloaded in case it was a cache issue. That did not help but we did notice something odd. It works fine if signed on as admin and preview it on the edit pages. But if we log out and then go to our site it doesn’t. Odd gotcha.
Hello,
If you haven’t yet done so, could you please open up a ticket at our support center, so that we can take a closer look to see what is happening and help you sooner?
I had this similar issue using a light speed cache. When I was customizing the theme it looked fine but looked crazy after I hit publish. I had to clear each one of the cache settings individually. The top “Purge All” didn’t do it. I had to do all of the “Purge All” underneath it that show up in the admin dashboard.
Hello Brittney,
This is actually how cache plugins work. They save the older version of a page for faster loading until you purge the cache.
Wow, super generous and great work. Thank you for making this contribution to the free resource pool for WordPress! 🙂
You’re welcome Owen! 🙂
Wow! This is great! Now my web can have awesome looks without hours of work.
Thank You!
Will the Ultimate addons work on themes other than Astra? Like GeneratePress?
Yes! It will. 🙂

Hi,
I have a website on SiteGround, is there a way I can experiment with the ready-made website templates on my site to see if it is something I can switch over to if I like it? I use the Gutenberg. I have been struggling for months and months to get the hang of this web page building business and still my site is just as blah as the day I purchased space. I thought I would have lots of time to play around, but then my husband became very ill and I am way busier now, so I need something to speed up things a little. My website is for my artwork.
Hello Marilyn,
You can definitely import a ready template and tweak it to go live.
I’d advise you to create a staging site, empty it completely, import the best suitable template, tweak and use it there. This way you will be able to try it out and then move to the website.
Feel free to get in touch with us through our support center, if you need any further help with this.
You make the concept of Open Source a real thing! No tricks, no gimmies. Just pure professional help for all of us.
You really rock!
This is a game changing plugin. Thank you soo much
very nice and goooood

Hello,
Please I have a blog with oceanwp theme and UAG.. I’d like to know if can I change themes and install Astra? Will this cause a problem with the existing content on my site? I read it’s good to do staging sites or clone, but I have no idea how to do this and would prefer to not go down that path..
Thanks very much!
Hello Karen,
Yes, you can! But, it is recommended to do switch to a different theme on a staging environment. As you would need to make the necessary layout and other changes.
Do reach out to your hosting provider or try on your local environment to see how it goes.
I hope that helps.
You are just brilliant. Thank you very much for all the material that you make available. Big kiss from all over Brazil.
Hello Paulo,
Glad you liked the Templates. And thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! 🙂
Will the starter templates work with the kadence theme/blocks?
Hello Scott,
Yes, you can surely use the Starter Templates with other themes as well. Here’s an article explaining the changes you can expect.
thank you bro
Hello there,
Glad that you liked it! 🙂
Thanks for helping beginners in wordpress.
You’re most welcome! 🙂
Why do I miss advanced heading on my site.
Your site doesn’t include support for the “uagb/advanced heading block ”
What’s the solution?
Hello Kamal,
We are unsure what exactly could be the issue. If the issue persists, we always recommend reaching out to us through our Support Portal.
Will those themes support with any dark mode plugin?
Hello Kevin,
We aren’t sure exactly about the working of the Dark Mode plugin. But do give it a try and let us know how it goes! 🙂
